the Court of Oyer and Terminer; however, he escaped the gallows. |

confesses and escapes the gallows. |

Timothy
Swan - He accused many of his neighbors of being witches; maybe the
only known grave of an accuser to be marked.

Joseph Gerrish - Minister of the First Church of
Wenham, MA in 1692. Four of his members were jurors during the ill fated Witch
Trials. His stone reads: Rev. Joseph Gerrish Born at Newbury Mar 23, 1650 Graduated
at Harvard College 1669 Ordained at Wenham Jan 12, 1674 Dies in Pastoral Office Jan 6,
1720". |

Capt. Thomas Ffisk - His stones reads: "Here
Lyes Buried the Body of Capt. Thomas Ffisk Who Decd February ye 5th 1723 in ye 70th Year
of His Age. The Righteous shall be had Everlasting Remembrances" He was a juror
in the Witch Trials and his father was the jury foreman. Later both men sign
confessions stating that they were "mistaken" in their duties.

Nathaniel Saltonstall - Member of the
Court of Oyer and Terminer; he resigned from the court and had the finger of accusation
pointed at him - needless to say he becomes a very strong critic of the trials.

Maj. Robert Pike - Maj. Pike recorded much
of the testimony of Susannah Martin in her trial. He later speaks out against the
Witch Trials, and defends Mary Bradbury of Salisbury who is convicted, but, escapes the
gallows. |
